  • Well, here I am.  I have to do something with this or I will lose my Xanga Subscription.  I don't want to do that.  Next week on the 25th will be 7 years since Josh died.  It is really hitting me harder than usual this year.

Our Biker's Sunday and Josh Adams Memorial Run was cancelled for a stupid reason.  That has been really hard for me to deal with.

    Talk to ya'll later

  • Hello Everyone!
Well, I hope that your weekend was better than mine.  First, on Friday evening, Lanny was mowing the yard.  He got off the mower to straighten up our flag that was tangled, and when he was getting back on the mower, our neighbor's dog ran up from behind and bit him!! To those of you that know our family it was Ed {Lanny's Bro} amd Tammy's dog.  Well a trip to the Emergency Room, a Tetenus shot, 5 stitches, and a stop to get some antibiotics was our evening.  Ed is going to get rid of the dog because this isn't the first time it happened.  But they have to keep him for 10 days to make sure he doesn't have rabies!!
Saturday wasn't very eventful  we just stayed home.
Sunday, I woke up sick.  But I went to Sunday School to teach my Teen Class.  Then, I went home and went to bed.  sometime later, Lanny came into the room and said that Willie had just totaled my car!!!!!!  So we went to the wreck and saw the car.  He had just turned onto a road and there was a woman in a van that slammed on her brakes to avoid hitting a baby deer.  Willie slammed on his brakes and turned to the right to avoid hitting her.  He hit the guardrail.  The front bumper slid under the guardrail and the grill and hood was pushed back.  The squad took Willie to the Hospital, but released him.
I thank God that neither of these events were tragic.  They could have been a lot worse.  I have two very sore guys, but they are still here with me!!!
Well Today is Josh's birthday.  He is 23!!  The best part is that he is celebrating it with Jesus!!  I really miss him.   But he is in Heaven.  There's no better place to be!!
    Talk to ya'll later.

  • Hi Everyone!!
Are you all having a good summer?  Mine has been great so far.  Last weekend was our annual Josh Adams Memorial Run.  It was wonderful.  There were 18 motorcycles there.  Several new people were there.  It was a good day for a ride.  Not too hot!!!  The rain held off for the whole day.  Sunday, It poured down the rain!!   I hope that some of the riders thought about the fact that they are sinners, and will find a church and get saved.  Or else just get saved before they can get to a church!!
It has become a tradition that our first stop is at the cemetary.  We put white roses on Josh's grave.  Lanny always tells him that the ride is all about him.  I didn't fall apart this time as I have in the past.  I didn't want to.  I want to celebrate Josh's life.  I thank God for loaning him to us for almost 18 years.

We are going to a wienie roast around 7pm.  It looks like it is going to rain, again, today.  But we will still have the wienie roast anyway.  We will cook them on the grill!!  I know that is cheating.  But we will still have a great time with our friends!

In case I don't get to post anything before---------July 10 will be Josh's 23rd Birthday.  Please remember us in prayer that day.  Also pray for Willie.  He is having some physical problems.  He still has not heard from SS disability or about getting his Medical Card.  Actually, he was denied the Disability once and we appealed so we are still waiting.

  • Hey Everyone!!
Please don't faint because I am updating!  I didn't realize it had been that long since my last update!!{March}  I have had a very hectic life the past several months.
Christi and the kids moved in with us  I loved it.  I really enjoy having my family with me.  Christi and Pete got a divorce.  So she moved in with us so she could step back and regroup.  and figure what to do with her life  Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, she found a house in Parkersburg, so they moved there.  She hopes to get a job there and it will be close so she won't have to spend so much on gas.  I really miss them  But I know that she needs a place of her own.  Dylan was bummed because he had to leave his friends at Eastern.  But I told him that he would make new friends at his new school.  Oh, well, so much for life!!!
Willie was denied Disability, so we appealed, and we are still waiting, AGAIN!!!!!
It seems that all the Drs Lanny sees agrees that he MIGHT need a pacemaker because of his slow heart rate.  But as usual, none of them wants to commit to that idea!!  So now he is going to go to another Doctor.  Hopefully this one will really help him!!
The 25th of this month will be 5 years since we lost Josh.  It still seems like yesterday.  I go through that day all the time.  Please pray for our family.  It still hurts a lot.  Some days I really don't cope too well, but I know that he wouldn't come back even if he could.   He is in Heaven, a much better place than this earth.
On June 24, is the Josh Adams Memorial Run.  Everyone is welcome to come.  You don't have to have a Mortorcycle to go with us.  A lot of times people have come with us in cars.  If you know anyone that would like to come, please tell them.  There will be lots and lots and lots of food!!!
I have rambled on long enough.  Ya'll will tell me not to update, again, because this is too long!!!!  LOL  Talk to ya later.
